2012 I-to-I Recap from William Anzueto

It was great to meet many of you at the event. I
was out on a 8'5 SUP and testing out a 5.3m sail while checking out the
event. That distance run and off shore markers were a bit too
much for me since I usually like to play along the shore and catch
waves.
Hanging out to hear the
planning/logistics, checking out the gear and being part of the start
was pretty cool. Getting through the shore pound with the
Kona's and formula gear looked tough but the crew left me in their wake
pretty quickly. I kept looking out between waves seeing the
sails and two kites out there way in the distance.
Thanks for a fun event.

What is it about Ft laud beach sand
that gets in everything? Every visit there my mast wants to stay
together. It probably has something to do with letting my gear
tumble to shore:)
