The
forecasts have been weighed and the decision has been made.
The i-to-i race will be held on:
Sunday,
December 9th, with first possible start to be announced on Saturday,
but per the Notice of Race published on the i-to-i website, 2007
NOR, it could be as early as
9:00 a.m.
Please email me the number of
the cell phone you'll be carrying on the water so I can compile a list
of participants that we can keep on the beach.
The
NOAA forecast is:
SATURDAY
EAST WINDS 5 TO 10 KNOTS BECOMING 10 TO 15 KNOTS IN THE
AFTERNOON. SEAS 2 TO 4 FEET. INTRACOASTAL WATERS A MODERATE CHOP.
ISOLATED SHOWERS.
SATURDAY NIGHT
EAST WINDS 10 TO 15 KNOTS INCREASING TO 15 TO 20
KNOTS AFTER MIDNIGHT. SEAS 3 TO 5 FEET. INTRACOASTAL WATERS
CHOPPY IN EXPOSED AREAS. ISOLATED SHOWERS.
SUNDAY THROUGH TUESDAY
EAST WINDS 15 TO 20 KNOTS. SEAS 4 TO
6 FEET. INTRACOASTAL WATERS CHOPPY IN EXPOSED AREAS. SLIGHT CHANCE
OF SHOWERS.

& practice on Saturday afternoon, December 8th.
We
have been invited Saturday evening to nearby Evolve Watersports,
an i-to-i prize-giver, to join the kiter's party for
the downwind race that may take place on Sunday, leaving from Jupiter
and arriving in Fort Lauderdale beach.
So
we can keep the skipper's meeting as brief as possible I will update
the i-to-i website before Saturday noon with a skipper's meeting
online. Please review this before the race so that we can be
brief on the beach and go have fun and do the race.
