Hi,
Saturday, first from NOAA Marine Weather 4:17
p.m.:
SATURDAY
NORTH NORTHWEST WINDS 10 TO 13 KNOTS. SEAS 3 TO 5
FEET.
DOMINANT PERIOD 7 SECONDS. INTRACOASTAL WATERS A LIGHT
CHOP.
Weather Channel:
Accuweather:
iWindsurf has NW going to N in their forecast, but dying off
in the afternoon.
I'm pretty comfortable in saying it's not worth hanging out on
the beach tomorrow waiting for wind.
Sunday's forecast, from NOAA Marine Weather:
SUNDAY
WEST WINDS 15 TO
18 KNOTS. SEAS 2 TO 3 FEET. INTRACOASTAL
WATERS A LIGHT CHOP. CHANCE OF
SHOWERS.
Accuweather:
iWindsurf's forecasts show west direction and building to
mid-teens or more during the day.
Here's my take for Sunday. Probably/maybe enough of
wind, building as the day goes, warmer sunny weather, but straight offshore wind
is most likely. The ocean should be small shorebreak if any, possibly a
small building swell, and gusty shifty wind until a mile offshore. From a
safety aspect, if anybody were to breakdown, chance of self-rescue would be very
small against due west and strong wind. Too bad, first skunk in many
years.
Later,
Ron
